One group is focused solely on research and development, especially improving individual pump parts. The other team, works side by side focusing on the application point of view. PumpEng uses the repair data to create an environment of support to improve the performance of dewatering pumps by providing training and guidance on the right pump for the job. The same data also flows to the research and development team.

Innovation at PumpEng comes from the top. Managing Director and company founder Paul Meneghel brings over thirty years of dewatering experience to the business. He is the driving force behind the company's achievements that set new pump engineering and design standards. The result has been new pump performance standards in the underground mining sector.

Asked about the company's point of difference, Paul says, "We have a whole company approach to data-driven analysis and that means we are able to improve things in the field for our customers. It's not just about pulling a pump apart and figuring out what needs to be changed. We look at why a pump is returned. Is it an engineering development R&D opportunity? Alternatively, it might be that our customers can do something different onsite to help make their pumps last longer. We share our knowledge and work closely with customers to solve problems and add value for their business."
